If you shop at Aldi, beware

I have just bought two packets of delicious chocolate brioche – to make an upmarket bread and butter pudding.

Each set of ten rolls was packed in a cellophane-type paper and each roll was packed individually in the same sort of wrapping. That makes for an awful lot of wrapping.

I have to pay the local council to deal with this and other waste so this excessive wrapping costs me money.

Further, the council must then either recycle it or send it to landfill.

Can we afford to support profligate retailers like this? I will not be buying from Aldi again and you may well want to think about waste management . Do we want to cut back on it and contribute to it?

  1. well done you! i thought one can leave excessive (read: superfluous) wrappings at the shop where things were bought.
